16 Going on 60

This is my Grandma MaryLee Harrison (and Morgan--because I thoroughly enjoy pictures of Morgan; I'm sure everyone else who knows Morgan, even as an acquaintance, can appreciate every single one of these pictures).

I love my Grandma Harrison. Yesterday I was talking to good ol' Mary on the phone and I heard a knock on the door. She answered it while I was still on the phone. Turns out she was going on a date.

Now, Grandma has a problem admitting that these outings are really "dates." He drives a pretty good distance, takes her to dinner, maybe a little extra rendez-vous...and pays for everything. That equals a date. She has tried to make this claim quite a few times actually, with different gentlemen. We just laugh.

Anyway, back to yesterday. She opened the door, and I reminded her to remember who she was, and not to do anything I wouldn't do...twice. She just laughed, and handed the phone to him. I, as the eldest (and wisest) grandchild interviewed him (or him me, as it turned out) and then sent Mary on her date--feeling like a proud parent.

Bring on the 16-year-old daughter. I'm ready.
