Easter Weekend

This year was my first Easter I spent away from home. I never realize how many traditions my family has until I'm not there to help carry them out. So, I implement what I can.

Not really a family tradition, but we had a sweet tooth late Friday night. So, what did we do? Made sugar cookies, of course! I was struggling a little; just a tad bit loopy. For the life of me I couldn't seem to keep the cookies on the plate or in my hand.
I got the hang of things. I may have enjoyed decorating them a little too much. It'd been awhile since I'd decorated cookies.

I made my first, truly successful batch of Mom's orange rolls. She would be so proud (not only of the yummy rolls, but also of the fact I'm slowly becoming her clone, yikes!).

And, of course, we colored Easter eggs. It wouldn't be complete without the dying of the eggs. Although, I couldn't convince anyone to go roll them with me. Brynn was game for a while, but when we secretly switched his egg from the blue dye to the red he was slightly perturbed.
All in all, it was a nice Easter weekend. And, now, I can't wait to go home and see what the Easter Bunny left me. Yes, I still believe.
