Taylor's Sweet 22

by - 1:27:00 AM

Taylor turned 22 this last week. There was no way we were going to let this day slip by without celebration. Well, at least I was trying not to, but the little twerp kept doubting we even remembered his birthday. Oh, ye of little faith.
Anyway, because he kept doubting, he made it rather hard to plan a party...mostly because he kept making his own plans. So, we pulled a little something off, kind of last minuted, kind of simple. But, it surprised him, and hopefully made him feel loved: my mission accomplished.

He claims he isn't crying, but you know, they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
When he opened the door he literally just stood there for a good 15 seconds, watching all of us sing. Totally surprised (or he faked it really well).

Blowing out the candles...obviously.

The whole group. Simple. But really? Friends and cake? What more do you need to throw a party?

Me, Taylor, Tanya, and Taylor.
He took a bite (on purpose) as the picture was being taken. Such a pain.
I love us. All of us.
Quick story behind the shirts. I wanted to get him an "Adam Peterson" t-shirt made. (If you don't know what I'm talking about go to Youtube and watch 'Adam loves basketball.' We love Adam around here.) Turns out the picture was awful quality, and since I don't know Adam (thus, I can't get an original picture of him) the shirt didn't turn out nearly as cool as I hoped. So, I found this sweet (well what I think is sweet) LBJ t shirt. I also made a CD of all the songs I would beg Taylor to play for me on the piano. Kind of a lame present, but, once again: it's the thought that counts. At least I hope.
Anyway, he just really liked it.
(again, refer to the movie)
