From Our Front Porch Looking In

I have to admit, I've never really been a fan of Valentine's Day. But, since meeting this husband of mine it has proven to be an exceptional holiday. Husband is already completely selfless with all his relationships; but with me, he far surpasses even his own records.

Last year, when we were dating, he discovered my favorite flowers to be calla lilies. He remembered this for Valentine's then, as well as now.

When I got home from work on Tuesday evening I found this:

Not only did I thoroughly enjoy my first ever meal by candlelight, but, I enjoyed it in a pretty outfit (well, as pretty as the very few things I can still wear are) that had been laid out for me on the bed. And, it was a perfect, and terribly impressive meal - served on a piping hot, sizzling skillet.

Did I mention I'm incredibly spoiled?

Dustin received an enlarged framed picture (his favorite of the two of us, one that I hate - so that was the sacrifice), a french fry chopper (he once shared with me that one of his favorite memories was of his dad making fries), and a store bought cake and ice cream (I'm lazy, I know).

Oh, and remember the North Wind. Of course the North Wind paid a visit.
Lady was even delivered a couple of gifts.
(PS, I'm still baffled as to how the North Wind delivers gifts I have no part in, nor does my husband. Like I've said before...it's impossible not to believe.)

We've been trying to imagine what our little lady will look like when we finally get to meet her.

Judging from the awesome genes, she's going to be a heart-breaker.

Think I'm biased? See for yourself.
