Father's Day: 2013 Edition

by - 8:32:00 PM

Fortunately one of D's favorite events of the year lands on Father's Day weekend. So, our plans for the weekend are set well in advance.
He settles in and watches golf. A whole bunch of golf. It's his ideal day weekend.

I am kicking myself, though. Why did I not pull out the real camera? So, we suffer through lame phone pictures.

On Sunday, he woke up and made all of us breakfast, though I did offer. He really wanted crepes. And he's the master of crepes. It was Lady's first time sampling these, and she loved them. I think it helped that we smothered them in strawberries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar.

Literally, we watched golf all day (after church, of course). Golf, and Girlfriend making a mess of anything and everything she could get her hands on. So, that night we escaped the mess (...and the lingering disappointment that ol' Phil Mickelson didn't win the US Open...) and went for a little family bike ride.

Lady already has a burning desire to be just like her dad.
And then my heart melted all over the place.

Dustin was made to be a dad.
He is sleep deprived and exhausted, but he loves his job as Lady's dad more than anything.

And that make us the luckiest girls in the world.
