Abbyisms

I've seen a few bloggers (people I stalk) record things their children say. I looooove that idea! Abby keeps us rolling in laughter all the time (and sometimes keeps us trying not to punch a wall with frustration). But, I always make a mental note (ha!) and promptly forget to record it. So, here we go. I'm starting now (not sooner, because I'm a mediocre mother at best), with things Abby has said lately. These are just a few that I can remember off the top of my head, and I'm crossing my fingers I'll learn my lesson and start jotting them down from now on. I really, really, really, don't want to forget this time with Girlfriend. She is wild, out of control, hilarious, and smart.  So, here are a few Abbyisms, with more installments to come.

^^Apparently she woke up like this

While driving on the interstate one day, tired of listening to Abby's whining (what? whining? nooooo...), Dustin requested Abby count the cars on the road. She glanced out the window for .065 seconds and sighed, "Let's just call it six." Then went back to whining immediately.

While playing with her doll, "Mom, I'm going to Grandma and Pippin's garden to get some food for my babies." (so, so many things about that statement I wish could come true!)

Abby has an obsession with torturing Evalyn (though Evie usually doesn't find it torturous for some reason). One day, while laying on Evie, I removed Abby and asked (super frustrated), "How many times do I have to ask you to leave her alone?!" She looked me straight in the eye and responded, "Firteen more times, Mom."

Instead of "pretty please" Abby makes requests by stating, "Very please?"

When she walks into a dark room she always exclaims, "Ah! I can't see my eyes!"

"Look! A wheelbuance!" (translation: Look! An ambulance!)

While waiting for her school class to start in the foyer of the school Abby is always very nervous. One day I tried to console her by reminding her it would only be a few more minutes. She responded, "Waiting is just so hard to do, Mom."

  1. Oh my gosh, she's too cute. I feel the frustration you do with the lying on the baby. My boys do that ALL the time. I get super frustrated over it and feel like I'm a broken record telling them to leave Avery be. I feel ya.

    1. Right?! All I do all day is tell Abby to leave Evalyn alone. But, I'm scared I'm going to ruin her and she won't want to ever touch her. Motherhood...
